Spiral Wound gaskets have become extremely popular due to a wide variety of available styles and sizes. Spiral Wound gaskets can be fabricated of any metal which is available in thin strip and which can be welded; therefore they can be used against virtually any corrosive medium dependent upon the choice of the metal and filler. They can be used over the complete temperature range from cryogenic to approximately 2000ºF. This type gasket can be used in all pressures from vacuum to the standard 2500 psi flange ratings. They are more resilient than any other type of metallic gasket with the exception of pressure sealing metal gaskets and, as a consequence, can compensate for flange movement that may occur due to temperature gradients, variations of pressure and vibration. Spiral Wound gaskets can also be manufactured with variable densities, i.e. relatively low density gaskets for vacuum service up to extremely high density gaskets having a seating stress of approximately 30,000 psi. The softer gaskets would require a seating stress in the range of 5,000 psi.
Type: SW, SW/I, SW/C, SWC/I. |

Ring Joints gaskets, are produced in compliance to the standards API 6A and ASME B16.20 for applications at elevated temperature and pressure. The surfaces of contact between the gasket and the flange must be shaped with particular attention in order to guarantee the maximum performance of the gasket.
API ring joints come in two basic types, oval and an octagonal shape. These basic shapes are used in pressures up to 10,000 psi. The dimensions are standardized and require specially grooved flanges. The octagonal cross section has a higher sealing efficiency than the oval and would be the preferred gasket.
RTJ's have "R" numbers assigned to them for pipe size and pressure class identification. Stock materials include soft iron, low carbon steel, 4-6 chrome (F5), 304, 304L, 316, 316L, 347, Monel, Inconel and Incoloy |

Flange insulation kits offer effective cathodic protection against corrosion in flanged piping systems. Available in three types, each kit comprises of one insulating gasket (either an oval ring type joint or flat gasket dependant on flange type.), one insulating sleeve per bolt, two insulating washers per bolt and two plated steel washers per bolt. |

Engineering Design results in Improved Performance. The Kammpro is the preferred gasket when needing improved performance at low seating stresses. It features excellent anti-blowout properties associated with the reliability of a solid metal-to-metal seal combined with soft sealing face to ensure a tighter joint. Kammpro is an ideal replacement for problem applications associated with jacketed gaskets.
Design Features · Fabricated in nominal pipe size and pressure. · Configured in standard shapes for heat exchanger application. · Available with centering ring for use on raised face flanges. · Metal cores available in soft iron, stainless steel and exotic materials. · Standard surface materials of flexible graphite or PTFE. · Low seating stress. · Optimum combination of solid core with soft sealing face.
Improved Performance · Permits a tighter joint under operating conditions. · Results in reduced emissions. · Compensates for fluctuating ranges of temperature and pressures. · Manufactured for all flanges including class 150# to class 2500#. · Easy to install and effortless to remove. · Improves plant efficiency · Maintains a tight seal over variable range of bolt stresses. |

A "Heat Exchanger Gasket" is a term that has been given to the gasket that is called out for use in an exchanger. The make up of the gasket or type varies due to the operating conditions of the exchanger. Some of the commonly used gaskets are metallic and soft compressible material.
Metallic gaskets can come in different styles like; double jacket, single jacket, solid metal or a spiral wound. Soft compressible material can be rubber, PTFE, or non-asbestos compressed sheet type. The design of an exchanger also may require different gasket shapes and the ones mentioned above can be made to a variety of shapes.
Lamons jacketed gaskets are normally shipped with a non-asbestos high temperature filler. The standard filler is normally sufficient for applications up to 900º F. Other soft fillers are available for higher temperatures or special applications including Grafoil . Standard metals used to make jacketed gaskets, regardless of the type, are aluminum, copper, the various brasses, soft steel, nickel, Monel , Inconel and stainless steel types 304, 316, 321, 347, 410, 502. Obviously the choice of the metal used for the jacketed part of the gasket would depend upon the corrosive conditions being encountered. |

A " Soft Gasket and sheets" material is a term used when referring to a gasket material that is easily compressed under a low bolt load. This term has been used to distinguish the difference from a metallic gasket. A soft gasket material can be selected from a large variety of rubbers (neoprene, viton, SBR, EPDM, etc.), TFE, graphite, and compressed non-asbestos sheet products. Soft gaskets are used in a wide range of applications from pipe flange, heat exchanger, compressor and bonnet valve gaskets to name just a few. Soft gasketing material can be purchased in a variety of cut shapes or be provided in sheet or rolls.
We are pleased to supply the following soft gasket materials: · Biaxially Orientated PTFE Sheet · Flexible Graphite Sheet · Non-Asbestos Sheet · Joint Sealant · Natural Rubber · SBR (Styrene-Butadiene) · CR (Chloroprene) (Neoprene) · Buna-N-Rubber (Nitrile, NBR) · Fluorocarbon (Viton) · Hypalon (Chlorosulfonated Polyethylene) · Silicones · EPDM (Ethylene Propylene-Diene Monomer) · Grafoil · Ceramic Fiber · Plastics · PTFE Envelope Gaskets · Vegetable Fiber Sheet |
